Reading Arielle Immortal Journey was like tuning in to As the World Turns, back in the late 60s-early 70s, without having watched the last year's worth of episodes. Having never read any of the other books in the series it took quite a bit of time to figure out who the characters were and why they acted as they did. It's a true serial (rather than series): it starts without introducing the characters and ends on a cliffhanger, without resolution of the conflicts set up in the story.

Once I caught on I really enjoyed the rich descriptions. Nikkola's office in Russia is beautifully rendered from the entrance to the building right to his chair. A trip to a secret society in the Burgejion castle was, for me, the most intriguing part of the book, with the intricate details of the castle, the robes, the ritual all meticulously yet alluringly described. A ball in the 16th century comes to life with costuming and artwork of the period.

The book focuses on Arielle and the danger she will be in due to the machinations of both this world and the next. But it supports the concerns and crises of the secondary characters as well, and gives glimpses into the lives of Arielle's friends and family throughout. This layering again allows the reader to "stay in touch" with the other characters, and enriches the storyline.

This clearly popular serial would be most attractive to the reader in her 20s, as the characters are young (or forever young!) and gorgeous. Their couplings are frequent and erotically charged but without graphic detail. A reader starting at the beginning of the series would truly enjoy this installment and would be eagerly awaiting book 6, which is soon to come.

I received a copy of “ARIELLE IMMORTAL JOURNEY” in exchange for a fair and unbiased review. Paranormal Romance is not my preferred genre, but I was willing to give it a try. I found myself utterly surprised, because I could not put the book down. This is not what I thought a paranormal romance novel would be. I was thinking of blood and vampires and gruesome things but this book was different.

The author has an amazing way of presenting a story and introducing characters that are likeable and very believable. I fell in love with the wonderful bond of friendship between Arielle, Eva and Gabrielle and the fascinating romance that blossomed between each girl and her beautiful immortal man. The description of Sebastian, Ian and Troy kept me eager to read more about them, while it brought a sweet smile on my face. I could not help fantasising about having that type of relationship for myself

And OMG!!! The time travel was out of this world. Lilian Roberts did such a great job with that part of the book, that I truly felt I was transported to the 1700s along with the three girls and walked into that awesome ballroom filled with enthralling wealthy elegant men. How wonderful would it be to have one of them take me in his arms and twirl me around the dance floor to the sounds of some unknown beautiful rhythm. So as you can see, this is what this book did for me.

So thank you Lilian for a wonderful read. You have changed my mind about this genre and I am sure going to read your previous books, as I don’t want to miss a moment of the characters lives. I am a fan and will be watching for your next book. I will make sure that all my friends know about your Immortal Rapture Series. Great Job!!!
I love this series. But I was upset the way book 5 ended. I hope book 6 wont be to far behind. Looking forward to reading it.
Amazingly capturing and keeps readers on their feet and wanting much much more . I read this book in like a day I was so into it !

Great book
The writing for this series improves as we read through it. The concept of immortals makes a fascinating foundation. The characters become more fully developed and the reader can enjoy their quirks now. This book is the best so far! I'm eagerly awaiting the next book. It's worth your time if you like this subject matter.
Fantastic Read!!! I like this book about immortality and the fact that there are not vampires. I have read the first 4 novels and I could not wait for this book to be released. The author keeps the characters real and the love storing is captivating. Adding time travel in the book has made it interesting and the descriptions of the locations are with such great detail that I feel like I am there. Great job Lilian Roberts! Hurry and get writing, I can't wait for the next one.
